چکیده
Abstract As a new Ionosphere Associate Analysis Center (IAAC) of the International GNSS Service (IGS), Chinese Academy Sciences (CAS) started routine computation real-time, rapid, and final Global Ionospheric Maps (GIMs) in 2015. The method for generation CAS rapid GIMs recent updates are presented paper. quality post-processed is assessed during 2015–2018 after maximum solar cycle 24. To perform an independent fair assessment, Jason-2/3 Vertical Total Electron Contents (VTEC) first used as references over ocean. GPS differential Slant TECs (dSTEC) generated from 55 Multi-GNSS Experimental (MGEX) stations IGS also employed, which provides complementing way to evaluate ability electron content models reproduce spatial temporal gradients ionosphere. During test period, Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) present significantly positive deviations compared Jason VTEC dSTEC. Technical University Catalonia (UPC) GIM UQRG exhibits best performance both dSTEC analysis. show comparable with results four IAACs IGS. expected, poor all equatorial regions high latitudes southern hemisphere. consideration generating multi-layer or three-dimensional ionospheric maps emphasized mitigate inadequacy single-layer assumption presence pronounced latitudinal gradients. use observations constellations other space- ground-based observation techniques suggested future GIMs, given sparse GPS/GLONASS

Ionospheric Correction Based on Ingestion of Global Ionospheric Maps into the NeQuick 2 Model
The global ionospheric maps (GIMs), generated by Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and Center for Orbit Determination in Europe (CODE) during a period over 13 years, have been adopted as the primary source of data to provide global ionospheric correction for possible single frequency positioning applications. The investigation aims to assess the performance of new NeQuick model, NeQuick 2, in pre...
متن کاملThe onset of solar cycle 24 What global acoustic modes are telling us
We study the response of the low-degree, solar p-mode frequencies to the unusually extended minimum of solar surface activity since 2007. A total of 4768 days of observations collected by the space-based, Sun-as-a-star helioseismic GOLF instrument are analyzed. A multi-step iterative maximum-likelihood fitting method is applied to subseries of 365 days and 91.25 days to extract the p-mode param...

Measurements of the dual frequency Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers can be used to calculate the electron density and the total electron content (TEC) of the ionosphere layer of the Earth atmosphere. TEC is a key parameter for investigating the ongoing spatial and temporal physical process of the ionosphere. For accurate estimation of TEC from GPS measurements, GPS satellites and GPS r...
